Nissan is ready to rejuvenate the Datsun brand and before you start thinking about a new 240z, here's what the car makers plans for Datsun will be positioned as a cost effective brand and the Go hatchback would be its first product. Following the Go will be an MPV, based on the hatchback. Called GO+, this seven seater is going to share a lot with the Go hatchback, which might make it identical to Go but it will be very cost effective indeed. Powering the Go+ will be a 1.2-liter petrol engine (same as Go hatchback but in a better state of tune here).
Fiat Viaggio
Expected by: Jan 2014
Overview
Fiat India’s first entry into the executive sedan space will be marked by the Viaggio! Based on the stunning looking Dodge Dart, the Viaggio’s design has been sculpted with the brand’s identity in mind - clean lines, a bold grille and an elegant poise. Fiat also promises that the Viaggio has the handling dynamics to match its Italian styling. Doing duty under the bonnet is the acclaimed T-jet petrol engine in 120 PS and 150 PS states of tune. But we hear that a diesel is also being tested on the Viaggio. After all, the Viaggio will have to fend competition from established models like the Cruze, the Corolla, the Civic and the upcoming all-new Octavia. We expect Fiat India to roll out the Viaggio by late 2013 or early 2014. Expect the price range to lie between Rs 10 to 17 lakh.
